I have recently created my own power point to introduce "wellness" to many of my group accounts. I have a couple wellness plans to recommend but would like 3 to 4 more. Any plans that you would recommend? Thanks, David E.

Mr.Smithkey,

I'm working on the same for my groups in order to help contain rising health premiums. Would you like to share what you've created? I have yet to get to the powerpoint level. Thanks

Have you considered recommending personal health records? These "electronic medical records filing cabinets" help engage people in their health care and reduce unnecessary duplication of tests. I invite you to visit www.SHAPEPHR.com for more information.

Feel free to contact me if you would like more information since I work for Secure Services Corporation, developer of SHAPE PHR. This is a commissionable product.

For those of you who work with Doctor Groups (Surgeons, Cardiologists, Anesthesiologists, Etc.) or Groups of Attorneys, I wanted to provide you a quick sales idea that your clients may find very valuable and can also boost your revenue.

Exceptional Risk Advisors has the ability to design group carve out programs to provide top earners disability coverage to an appropriate 60% replacement ratio. After you have maxed out traditional disability coverage, let's say you place $10,000 per month of group coverage and secure another $10,000 of individual DI, then you come to Exceptional Risk Advisors.

We are a Lloyd's of London Coverholder and can place up to $150,000 per month above what traditional companies offer medical professionals, and $500,000 per month above max coverage offered to attorneys.

Last month an advisor came to us with a large group of attorneys, many of whom were making upwards of $1,000,000, but let's use a $1,000,000 salary to examine how this coverage operates. After the advisor had secured $20,000 per month of disability coverage through traditional outlets(group+individual), his clients were still severely underinsured and seeking additional coverage. For a client making a $1,000,000 salary, the appropriate disability income replacement should land them at $50,000 per month, this left a $30,000 per month gap in coverage that needed to be filled.

Exceptional Risk Advisors designed a group carve out program tailored to the advisors' group's needs. We were able to layer appropriate disability benefits for each of the attorneys on top of their in-force coverage, while offering a discounted premium due to the number of lives insured.

With 15 to 20 lives, we have the capability to streamline the underwriting process and only require a 1 page short form application along with a census detailing names, dates of birth, titles, and salary information. With our group carve out program the advisor was able to satisfy his client's need while adding meaningful revenue dollars to his bottom line.

I hope everyone found this sales idea insightful. To find out more about our product capabilities for your most affluent clients, check out my blog.

What type of reaction are producers getting from their Group clients when the Wellness Concept is brought up? I've found especially my smaller clients are very hesitant to implement any type of wellness program.

Thanks,
